Year 1 trip to Shepreth

5th July 2018
Year 1 children, staff and adult helpers had a wonderful trip out to Shepreth Wildlife Park today. We had an education session in the classroom, where we learned about adaptation. The children were all invited to handle a stick insect, a snake and a rabbit.  After that we found a lovely shady spot to have our lunch. We ate our picnic on the grass and had a play at the play park. Then we went for a walkabout in our groups. We saw so many different animals. We saw meerkats, ring tailed lemurs, red pandas, otters, lynx, eagle owls, donkeys and monkeys. Many of the children agreed that their favourite animals were the tigers and the bats. The bat enclosure really is very exciting!
