Science Week 2025

14th March 2025
We had an absolutely brilliant science week this year at Arbury Primary School. The week started with an exciting launch assembly run by Miss Joomun, our science leader. Every day this week the children had a mini science activity to spark their curiosity and start class discussions based on this year's theme 'Change and Adapt'. The children have all completed practical investigations linked to this year's theme too. Year 1 and Year 2 found out about the way different animals have developed their communication skills and created their own secret dance codes, Years 3, 4 and 5 found out about how different bird beaks have evolved and took part in a feeding simulation using different tools to represent beaks. Year 6 teamed up with Reception to investigate different footprints in the forest area.

We have also been very impressed with all the children's entries for our science art competition and we are so pleased that so many children have got involved! We will be announcing winners soon.
