Art Impact

Impact

Ongoing assessment takes place throughout the year. Teachers use this information to inform future lessons, ensuring children are supported and challenged appropriately. Teachers will use a range of strategies to gain information about how well a child has understood a concept during the lesson including the use of effective questioning and through retrieval activities at the start of each lesson. Appropriate verbal feedback and peer or self-assessment tasks are then used to provide children with the information they need to continue to make rapid progress. Subject and school leaders monitor the impact of our art curriculum provision through completing regular monitoring, including listening to the voice of our children. As a school we enjoy celebrating the art that is created through displays, assemblies and sharing work with pupils and parents.
